The Fort Stewart Fire Research Campaign was an integrative research effort that collected data on Fire Behavior, Fuels, and Smoke during a series of prescribed burns at Fort Stewart. Atmospheric Sciences alumna, Emily Wilson, was recently recognized by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for the "critical support [she] provided to Operation Allies Welcome", an initiative set forth by the DHS to evacuate U.S. citizens and Afghan nationals during the insurrection in Afghanistan.
