Rural and Peasant Studies; Conflict, Peace, and Rights; Political Ecology; More-than-Human Geographies

Pablo is broadly trained in Anthropology and Latin American Studies, and bases his research in Costa Rica. He is interested in ethnography and orature, history, landscapes, and social theory. Pablo uses a framework informed by Political Ecology, Political Economy, critical and decolonial scholarship to analyze global phenomena like colonialism, development, governance, environmental change,  and human-environment relationships as they unfold in local space and everyday life.
