A North Oconee High School alumnus has helped the University of Georgia turn its eye toward the final frontier: space.

“[During] my senior year of high school at NOHS, Georgia Tech opened the adventure program to high school students,” said Graham Grable, who graduated from UGA earlier this month with a degree in mechanical engineering. “That helped strike a chord between doing something with engineering but also entrepreneurial. Doing that program and going through the process … struck a chord with me. I realized I like working with a team, doing something new and doing something technical and entrepreneurial at the same time. That helped guide me in the direction I’m headed in.”
