Recently, early season predictions by experts warned that the 2018 Atlantic season could be quite active. My Forbes colleague Eric Mack provides a good overview of what is expected. After several months, we finally have a new director of the National Hurricane Center selected. While key science positions such as the NOAA Administrator and NASA Administrator remain unconfirmed, it is vital to have leadership in place at the Hurricane Center before the 2018 season.
